Olivia update day!

Today we got a little-itty-bitty-Livy-update! 

Since we have the opportunity to sponsor her, we did, and got an update! Here's a little glimpse of what it looks like.

She's such a cutie! I'm pretty sure we have the two cutest girls in the world! 

It gets harder every. Single. Day.  

We are day 19 of our LOA wait.  Praying for less than 50 days.

Dear sweet Olivia, 

Last night and today we got some updated pictures of your sister. We were pretty excited to see her face. Our last pictures of her were 9 months old! She's a big girl now. 

I know you're growing too! We have gotten to see so many recent pictures of you and even a sweet video. Hopefully soon we will get some more information on you!! 

We get to do something really cool for you. We get to take over sponsorship of you in your orphanage! The place you live is called a Lily Orphan Care Center. It's a great place! I know you are loved there! It can't compare to how you'll be loved here (how you already are loved here!) but it's one of the best. We are so excited to get to be a part of your care while we are still so far away. :-) It helps us feel like we are taking care of you even on a small scale. It's a special thing! 

We love your spunk. It's amazing how much you can pick up in a short 10 second video but we can see your fun personality peeking out. You are one special little girl! 

I pray that you will always know how special you are. That we believe in you, that you are wanted...chosen... Cherished... And LOVED!

We cannot wait to get to know you and experience life as your parents. It's an honor to be your mommy and daddy. 

Hoping the red thread that connects us gets shorter every day...

Update on Emily!

The ONE day I don't refresh my email 800 times. We get our update on sweet Emily Katherine! 

WOW. Our wait just got harder! She is getting so big and she's even more beautiful! We just fell even MORE in love! Ugh! I just want to squeeze her!

It's late but I wanted to share our precious daughter!

Day 6

So we are on Day 6 of our LOA wait.  Yes, I'm counting.  Yes, we have a LONG way to go.  May 23 is our magic number.  That's the 50th day of our wait and for all the stars to line up like we need them to, It needs to happen on or before that day.

Why May 23? Well, we know that after LOA it's approximately 10 weeks from LOA to travel.  That would put us at the beginning of August.

Why is the Beginning of August important? Well, Emily turns 2 on August 14th.  We desperately want to be with her for her 2nd birthday.  That and... any day closer we can get to our little girls is a day less they have to spend in an orphanage.

It's amazing... the closer we get... the more real it is becoming.  Watching families come together through facebook and blogs is a beautiful thing.  While it feels like FOREVER away, I look back at how far we've already come.  That red thread is getting shorter and shorter.  ;-)

Keep praying.  Keep your fingers crossed.

LID!!!!

Ok.... So here's where we are. Yesterday, April 4th, we are officially LID (logged in, in the china system)!!!!!!!

Next group of letters we are waiting on? LOA (letter of approval).  This wait will be our last long leg. After that it'll be a zippy 10 weeks or so :-) the wait for LOA can be anywhere from 40-120 days. Of course we are hoping upon hope to be better than the average of 50-60 days.

Keep your fingers crossed and pray for speed. 😃

Our precious littles are waiting!

Still looks like august at this point. This wait will be key in determining that.

On a side note... All these creative ladies on Facebook make these fun pictures to announce they're "DTC, LID, LOA, ETC" I'm not that creative.... But today I made a humorous attempt at being creative... Though not successful. 😃

I TRIED to arrange the dogs into the letters LID...

HAHA. OH WELL.
